About Us
Assisting the Creative Arts in Wyndham
History
Arts Assist, officially known as the Wyndham Community Cultural Foundation (WCCF), is a not-for-profit charitable organisation founded in 1999 by a group of dedicated local volunteers. United by a belief that the Wyndham community would be enriched through greater support for arts and culture, the Foundation’s first major contribution of $250,000 helped transform Centenary Hall into the Wyndham Cultural Centre.
Governance
WCCF is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR Item 1). The organisation operates under a Deed of Trust and is governed by a volunteer Board dedicated to advancing artistic and cultural opportunities for the Wyndham community.
Mission
Arts Assist is committed to fostering a vibrant cultural environment in Wyndham. Our mission is to nurture creative talent and celebrate cultural diversity by providing financial support, resources, and opportunities for creative development. We aim to develop, enhance, promote, and support a diverse range of artistic and cultural projects that enrich community life and strengthen Wyndham’s creative identity.
Arts Assist
Since its founding, Arts Assist has provided more than $200,000 in funding through its community grants program, supporting individuals, groups, programs, and projects across all creative disciplines. Recent initiatives include the Water Tower Mural Art Project and the State Research Farm Oral History Project — both celebrating local stories and creativity.
By investing in the people and projects that bring art to life, Arts Assist continues to shape the culture and identity of Wyndham, making it a more vibrant and inspiring place for everyone.
